How does REF-UL choose content?

That’s a great question—and an important one!

Choosing content and having content available on REF-UL are actually two separate things. Since REF-UL is a subscription-based service offering access to a library of audiobooks (rather than selling titles individually), we’re somewhat limited by which publishers and content creators choose to participate.

Many large publishers have chosen not to make their titles available on subscription-based platforms, which means you may notice some gaps in what’s offered. While we’d love to feature every book that might interest a Christian audience, the reality is that not all publishers make their content available in this format.

That said, the quality of REF-UL's content is still exceptional. We feature titles from over 300 content creators, including respected publishers, authors, and ministries. Many of the most thoughtful, insightful, and spiritually enriching Christian books come from small and mid-sized publishers—and we’re proud to feature their work.

We’re also selective about the content we include. Our goal isn’t just to offer what’s popular, but what’s helpful, faithful, and aligned with our mission. As we like to say, we’re on the narrow way—and we try to stay true to that in what we share.

We’re constantly expanding our library—adding 20 to 30 new titles every month, and regularly partnering with new publishers. If the title you’re looking for is from one of the larger publishers, it may not be available yet—but that could change as REF-UL continues to grow and more publishers join the platform.
